Our client is one of the leading companies in interactive entertainment industry, well-established worldwide with headquarters in Japan.
We’re currently recruiting a Junior Management Accountant (Japanese speaking) to join their friendly and professional team in London.
As a Junior Management Accountant, the job holder is to work closely with the Senior Management Accountant to support the Corporate Planning team across a variety of projects as well as maintaining the day-to-day tasks of the management accounting function and providing support to other functions as required.
Job Description:
Budget /Forecasting
- To review and manage the processing of data accurately on the forecast tools, for budgeting, forecasting and reporting purposes.
- To produce and manage regular reconciliations of actuals and forecast data.
- To prepare a financial review package for the monthly board meeting.
- To support the Corporate Planning team with the production of other required reports for meetings in a timely manner.
- To ensure that the uploading of actual data onto the forecasts system is accurate and done in a timely manner.
- To support with the preparation of cashflow statements and review liaising with other teams and subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and understanding in order to explain discrepancies with budget and prior cashflow.
Tracking Analysis
- To provide regular tracking reports relating to spend and gross sales.
- To prepare monthly analysis reports for Japan.
- To provide regular analysis reports of budget, actuals and forecast.
Business Support
- To ensure that the master data is maintained and process regular data uploading across the forecast system, stock in channel tracking system and expense system.
- To compile and process data for the financial planning process, including the evaluation of budget submissions, mid-term reviews, and future product line-ups.
Other Duties
- To work proactively as a member of the Corporate Planning Team to co-operate and support other roles.
- To perform additional duties where required, including project work to streamline and strengthen current processes.
Requirements:
- Experience in preparing reports, running finance transactions and preparing reconciliations (ideally in a Finance Department).
- Experience working in a multinational context with exposure to foreign currencies essential.
- Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- Ability to work across job levels and cultures.
- Willing to support internal customers and make sure information is correctly and accurately delivered
- A critical thinker, with demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a good understanding of PowerPoint.
- Good command of the Japanese language essential.
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualification desirable (qualified or part-qualified).
- Experience with SAP, Oracle Essbase, and Tableau would be advantageous.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and process.
- Ability to take ownership for tasks and to report back on progress.
- Takes personal accountability to achieve own goals, tasks and objectives.
- Ability to work with others across all levels and divisions of the organisation to achieve company goals
Conditions:
- Salary – Negotiable depending on experience, £30-50,000 per annum
