World’s leading Fire Detection manufacturer in Surrey is looking to recruit for the role of Japanese speaking Product & Quality Control Engineer.
Hours: 8am~4pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support in creation and maintenance of Company manufacturing and processing documentation, such as product Build Standards and Test Procedures
Carry out tasks such as: customer returns investigation, new product specification and verification of how a particular site issue is manifesting itself and under what conditions in a timely manner.
To be able to read schematic drawings and use various fault finding techniques in order to establish the root cause of the fault.
To be competent in using various equipment such as oscilloscopes, volt meter, ammeter etc. when carrying out investigation and fault finding to component level.
To be competent in soldering and reworking PCB’s using surface mount electronic components
Provide technical and engineering support for maintaining and improving the company’s tools and equipment for production and testing.
To be able to evaluate effectively and support with the aid of technical reporting techniques, all electronic component value changes due to component obsolescence or lack of component supply.
Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure
Be responsible for customer returns investigation, new product specification and verification of how a particular site issue is manifesting itself and under what conditions.
Quality Control Engineer
Ensure all document systems; daily totals etc are satisfactorily completed at the times stipulated.
Assist Quality Manager in establishing and maintaining the Quality Management System.
Liaise with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer of production data is in accordance with Approved documents.
Support the Quality Inspectors, including Sub-contractors, to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements.
Create and maintain Company Quality documentation, such as Quality Manuals, Quality Procedures and other Manufacturing Drawings and documents.
Creation, amendments and issuing of AutoCAD drawings
Creation, amendments and issuing of Build and Test Instructions
To maintain a close liaison with Head Office regarding the design, development and production of the company’s product range.
Liaise with engineering departments in HQ to solve quality, engineering, cost and approval issues.
Liaise with the overseas factory to fill any communication gaps for technical and engineering matters.
Auto enrolment Pension Scheme: Company contribution 5% of basic salary, employee contribution governed by auto-enrolment (currently 1% from April 2018).
