Job descriptions
- Ensure auto-enrol and re-enrolment duties are fulfilled
- Timely declarations to The Pension Regulator to ensure compliance and avoid fines
- Reports and record keeping to show auto enrolments, out-outs, contributions etc
- Arranging re-enrolment every three years and ensure all legislation is followed and relevance declaration is made by the due date
- Checking pension reports from Dayforce with own spreadsheets
- Processing pension payments on line
- Ensuring accurate data is uploaded each month
- Monitoring SmartEnrol (email verification for new starters, opt-outs etc)
- Bulk upload with starters since last payroll run, that will be processed in next payroll run
- Meeting with new staff to explain pension and postponement and remind staff when necessary
- Diarise for joiners at end of deferral period and at end of ‘withhold’ period
- Arranging annual pension clinic for staff with financial advisor
- Liaison with pension providers and relevant parties if they have queries, problems with joiners or any other ongoing issue
- Managing other benefits such as company mobile matters, Private medical, Dental plan, health assessments and so on
- Arrangements for new starters & annual review in line with WTR Assist with internal restructures, redundancies, mergers, integration
- Review & update the Staff Handbook in line with legislation changes and internal policy and procedure changes
- Annual assessment of earnings and prepare annual salary sacrifice letters (March/April)
- Reconcile monthly invoice with payroll and our internal spreadsheet
- Maintaining online updates for starter, leavers and changes; Manage annual scheme renewal
- Payroll support for checking of input and assist with more complex queries
- Managing appraisals (deadline reminders, collating, logging, advice to staff/managers, chasing Performance review meetings, attend as note-taker;
- Remind Line managers to review Job Descriptions Complete details requested by Office of Nat Stats (ONS) in a timely manner
- Other ad-hoc duties when necessary
Requirements:
- Previous HR experience essential. Necessary: proven pension and payroll experience (systems: Ceridian & Aegon). Experience in analysing and evaluating HR & payroll issues
- Researching and reading data and reports
- Confidence in using specific systems and programmes, including Excel, PowerPoint and database management
- Ability to make judgements on confidential matters, plan and manage complex administrative systems and practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and capable of communicating with individuals at all levels and from various backgrounds
- Good understanding of HR policies & legislation
Conditions:
- Salary – £37,000 per annum, depending on experience
