Requirements

  • Business level of English AND Japanese
  • Other European language is beneficial but not essential
  • Willingness to learn new skills, positive attitude toward new challenge, can perform under the pressure, a team player.

Japanese speaking Account Executive is required urgently for one of World’s leading airlines.

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for managing relationships with the corporate and trade customers in Italy and  UK, for both the Japanese and non Japanese markets. This responsibility includes developing a successful, consistent approach to local and multinational dealing to maximise revenue and minimise the cost of sale. It also includes gaining maximum value for the airline from any Travel Management Company or corporate agreements. Engaging in joint sales and marketing activities in order to increase the level and quality of the brand’s revenue sold through these partners and driving efficiencies in the distribution processes.

Working Hour s: Mon-Fri 9:00 -17:30 (one hour lunch time)

JOB DIMENSIONS:

  • The key objective is to drive sales performance in the market through the implementation of the company’s Sales strategy across a portfolio of trade and corporate customers maximising revenue contribution in order to exceed revenue targets.
  • Complete and continually update Account Development Plans, ensure all action points are actioned in a timely manner.
  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals through sales calls, written communication, email and telephone solicitation.
  • Follow up on leads and business generated by sales calls.
  • Able to make business trips on a regular basis

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:

  • Develop and maintain long term strategic relationships with the company’s trade partners and corporate clients.
  • Prepare an account development plan to achieve short, medium, and long term mutual benefits for both Trade Partners and Corporate customers.
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the sales strategy, to maximise short and long term revenue opportunities, reduce cost of sale and generate channel shift where appropriate.
  • Reviews sales data with the account portfolio to drive revenue and seek out tactical revenue opportunities
  • Develop tactical Sales and Marketing activity in support of sales opportunities in both TMC and corporate market place.
  • Maximise value from marketing spend.
  • Maintain Sales professionalism standards
  • Provide regular Market Intelligence and feedback from customers and competitors.
  • Represent the company at trade events, promotions and sales functions, including supporting educational and familiarization visits.

Experience:

  • Commercial acumen. Able to spot and interpret market trends
  • Customer facing experience
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and inside sales or outside sales experience are desirable
  • Good understanding of sales systems and interpretation of available data
  • Travel industry experience will be advantageous but not essential

Skills/Expertise:

  • Language skill  – fluent in Japanese and English(both written and spoken) and intermediate level in Italian(reading and spoken)
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Proven commercial skills and business acumen
  • Ability to develop a good network within the airline industry
  • Sound knowledge of travel industry
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Ability to sell all the benefits of the company’s products and services
  • PC literate with knowledge of Word/PowerPoint/Excel
  • Clean Driving licence
